Terroir & Philosophy

Sourced from the Solaia vineyard within the Tenuta Tignanello in the Chianti Classico region, this iconic wine from Marchesi Antinori is rooted in soils composed of alberese and galestro, promoting both structure and elegance in the final wine.

The blend is led by Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Sangiovese and Cabernet Franc. Each parcel is vinified separately before ageing in new French oak barrels, enhancing structure, depth, and precision.

The 2016 vintage, shaped by consistent growing conditions and ideal ripening, results in a wine of outstanding harmony. More nuanced than demonstrative, it fully expresses the nobility of the terroir and the estate’s technical mastery.
