Tignanello 2014 – Marchesi Antinori
A refined interpretation of a challenging vintage, this Tignanello 2014 stands out for its balance and precision. More linear than powerful, it expresses the Chianti Classico terroir through freshness, elegance, and remarkable finesse.
Terroir & Philosophy
Sourced from the Tignanello vineyard in the heart of Chianti Classico, this iconic wine from Marchesi Antinori is rooted in soils rich in limestone and galestro, enhancing both structure and aromatic clarity in the Sangiovese.
The blend is led by Sangiovese, complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon and a touch of Cabernet Franc, adding depth and complexity. Vinification is carried out parcel by parcel, followed by aging in French oak barrels for approximately 14 to 16 months, refining the structure and integrating the oak seamlessly.
The 2014 vintage, shaped by cooler and wetter conditions, required meticulous grape selection. The result is a wine driven by freshness, precision, and balance, offering a more classical and nuanced expression of Tignanello.
