Louis XIII – Rémy Martin
The ultimate expression of Grande Champagne, the pinnacle of cognac craftsmanship
Product Presentation
Louis XIII represents the absolute pinnacle of the Maison Rémy Martin. Each decanter is the result of patient work carried out across several generations of cellar masters. Crafted exclusively from Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie — the Premier Cru of Cognac — some over 100 years old, Louis XIII embodies the very essence and highest refinement of the cognac art.
Every decanter is handmade by the master glassmakers of Baccarat or Saint-Louis. Its design, inspired by a 16th-century royal flask and adorned with fleurs-de-lys, has become an enduring symbol of prestige and timeless luxury.
Tasting Notes
Nose:
An exceptionally expansive bouquet: honey, candied fruits, dates, dried fig, citrus peel, sweet spices, precious woods, beeswax and gentle undergrowth notes. A rare, evolving complexity that deepens with every moment in the glass.
Palate:
Sumptuous, deep and velvety texture. A continuous aromatic progression: roasted hazelnut, prune, baked fig, saffron, candied ginger, blond tobacco and fine leather. Layers unfold seamlessly, supported by extraordinary length and perfect balance.
Finish:
Endless. Persistence lasts several minutes, leaving an impression of noble complexity and remarkable depth. A tasting experience that lingers long after the final sip.
