Tasca d'Almerita Cabernet Sauvignon 1996 - Tenuta Regaleali

"(...)  The 1996 Cabernet Sauvignon displays herbaceousness in addition to a distinctive note of briny olives intermixed with black currants. A sweet, heavy-handed, full-bodied wine with plenty of fat and fruit, its herbaceousness and cumbersome feel in the mouth kept my score down, particularly when compared to vintages where the wine had more concentration without as much heaviness. (...)"
