Wide selection of anniversary vintages from 1924 to the present day
The history of Domaine Sylvain Cathiard et fils, located on the Côte de Nuits in Vosne Romanée, began in 1920 when Sylvain's grandfather (Alfred Cathiard), after having worked at Domaine de la Romanée Conti and Domaine Lamarche, acquired several plots of vines in very beautiful terroirs of the Côte de Nuits. His son André, who came to join the estate in 1940, developed bottling at the Cathiard estate, and bought a magnificent plot of vines in Vosne Romanée 1er cru Malconsorts (neighboring Grand Cru La Tâche). After creating a small estate in his name, Sylvain Cathiard took over the heritage of the family vines (5.5 ha), and succeeded his father in 1995. He now works with his son Sébastien, and plans to gradually hand over to him the hand in the field Cathiard.
