Domaine La Bergerie de l’Arcade – Languedoc 2022
An authentic Languedoc red combining Mediterranean generosity, mineral freshness, and aromatic notes of garrigue in a balanced and approachable style.
Terroir & Winemaking
Located in Pouzols, in the heart of the Languedoc, Domaine La Bergerie de l’Arcade, run by Pascal and Gilles Soulas, benefits from a distinctly Mediterranean environment. The vineyards thrive on soils of limestone, clay, and stony scree, providing natural drainage and steady water supply—essential in a warm, sunny climate.
The blend is based on traditional southern varieties such as Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre, which fully express the terroir’s character. Winemaking favors gentle extraction to preserve fruit purity and suppleness, with aging primarily in tank and partially in oak to add structure and complexity without overwhelming the aromatics. The 2022 vintage, warm and luminous, offers ripeness, balance, and fine intensity.

Finish:
Persistent and warm, marked by sweet spices, garrigue herbs, and a lingering echo of dark fruit.
