Grands-Échezeaux Les Loachausses Grand Cru 2022 — Domaine Anne Gros
This Grands-Échezeaux Les Loachausses Grand Cru 2022 from Domaine Anne Gros embodies one of the rarest, noblest and deepest expressions of the Côte de Nuits. From a mythical Grand Cru situated between Échezeaux and Clos de Vougeot, it offers a Pinot Noir of great architecture, at once sensual, structured and intensely perfumed: black cherry, Morello cherry, ripe raspberry, cassis, plum, old rose, violet, fine spices, liquorice, noble earth, emerging forest floor, fine leather, black tea and a long mineral finish.
Domaine Anne Gros is one of the most respected signatures of Vosne-Romanée, renowned for wines of great purity, silky texture and remarkable terroir precision. Grands-Échezeaux is distinguished by a deeper, more structured and more majestic dimension than Échezeaux, while retaining the aromatic refinement typical of great Pinot Noir from the Côte de Nuits. The 2022 vintage brings ripeness, fruit brilliance, balance and energy, with remarkable ageing potential.
A great Grands-Échezeaux of depth, refinement and controlled power, where the generosity of the 2022 vintage remains carried by the nobility of the climat and the precision of the Anne Gros style. The wine combines ripe red and black fruits, flowers, spices, liquorice, noble earth and minerality, with a broad, silky, structured and highly persistent palate. It is a Grand Cru of texture, prestige and long ageing potential.
Terroir: Grands-Échezeaux, majesty and depth of the Côte de Nuits
The Grands-Échezeaux climat is among the most prestigious Grands Crus of the Côte de Nuits. Set on deep clay-limestone soils, with marl and stony elements, it gives Pinot Noir an expression that is dense, velvety, structured and very long. The Les Loachausses lieu-dit reinforces this reading of depth, finesse and persistent minerality.
At Domaine Anne Gros, Grands-Échezeaux translates into a wine of great presence, where the substance remains polished, precise and refined. The terroir brings a noble tannic frame, aromatic depth and a persistent finish. In 2022, the ripeness of the vintage reinforces fruit brightness and breadth on the palate, while the natural freshness of Pinot Noir preserves tension, balance and clarity of the climat.

Expression of the 2022 vintage
The 2022 vintage in Burgundy produced ripe, balanced and highly seductive red wines, combining fruit richness, preserved freshness and great aromatic precision. In the great terroirs of the Côte de Nuits, this year highlights the density of Pinot Noir, tannic finesse, fruit purity and the ability of grands crus to evolve gracefully.
Today, this Grands-Échezeaux Les Loachausses Grand Cru 2022 remains very young and has great ageing potential. It can already impress through its brilliance, texture and balance after measured aeration, but will gain complexity with time: forest floor, fine leather, truffle, black tea, cocoa, melted spices, noble earth and mineral nuances should gradually join the depth of red and black fruit.
In summary: a deep, silky and masterful Grands-Échezeaux Les Loachausses Grand Cru 2022, driven by the balance of the vintage, the nobility of the climat and the refined signature of Domaine Anne Gros.
Dominant aromas: black cherry, Morello cherry, ripe raspberry, cassis, plum, old rose, violet, fine spices, liquorice, noble earth, emerging forest floor, fine leather, black tea, light truffle and a very long mineral finish.
