Brut Yellow Label – Veuve Clicquot (Jeroboam, 3 L OWC)
An icon of the Veuve Clicquot style, Yellow Label perfectly balances power, structure, and finesse. This emblematic Champagne stands out for its remarkable consistency, aromatic richness, and refined accessibility.
Overview
Brut Yellow Label is built on a precise blend dominated by Pinot Noir (50–55%), which provides structure and intensity. It is complemented by Pinot Meunier (15–20%) for roundness and fruitiness, and Chardonnay (28–33%) for freshness and elegance.
A key signature of the house lies in its high proportion of reserve wines (25–35%, sometimes up to 40%), sourced from multiple harvests. Some of these wines are aged up to nine years, adding depth, complexity, and ensuring the consistency of the Veuve Clicquot style.
Each reserve wine is kept separately to preserve the identity of its origin and vintage, allowing for a highly precise blend. The result is a Champagne that is structured, expressive, and faithful to the historic identity of the house.
