Terroir & parcels

This Meursault comes from vineyards located around the village of Meursault in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, Burgundy. The vines grow on gently sloping hillsides mainly exposed to the east and south-east, benefiting from generous sunshine and a semi-continental climate that promotes slow and even ripening of the Chardonnay grapes.

The soils are composed primarily of Jurassic limestone and clay-rich marls, often filled with small stones and marine fossils. This terroir provides excellent natural drainage and gives the wines their signature character: a balance of textural richness, mineral energy and aromatic complexity.

At Domaine Coche-Dury, viticulture is meticulous with low yields and careful attention to grape maturity. Aging in oak barrels is carried out with precision to preserve the purity of the fruit and the natural tension of the terroir. The 2023 vintage in Burgundy shows a fine balance between ripeness and freshness, producing wines that are expressive, harmonious and beautifully structured.

Tasting notes

Nose:
Complex and refined, revealing aromas of candied lemon, pear and yellow apple, complemented by notes of fresh hazelnut, almond, white flowers and a subtle flinty, smoky nuance characteristic of the Coche-Dury style.

Palate:
Generous yet precise, with a lively attack and a texture that is both creamy and vibrant. Flavors of citrus and orchard fruits are layered with hints of fine butter and supported by a saline mineral backbone that brings freshness and structure.

Finish:
Long, elegant and persistent, marked by pure fruit, lingering minerality and delicate notes of hazelnut and wet stone. A beautifully balanced Meursault with outstanding depth and aging potential.
