Meursault Les Tessons 2011 — Domaine Pierre Morey, Magnum
This Meursault Les Tessons 2011 from Domaine Pierre Morey, offered here in magnum 1.5 L, embodies a mature, elegant and profoundly Burgundian expression of Chardonnay from the Côte de Beaune. From one of Meursault’s highly admired lieux-dits, it combines the natural depth of the appellation, the limestone finesse of the terroir and the precise, restrained and refined signature of the domaine.
The 2011 vintage now offers an evolved, fine and harmonious profile: candied lemon, ripe pear, yellow apple, white peach, almond, fine hazelnut, delicate butter, discreet honey, sweet spices, chalk, warm stone and a light smoky touch. The magnum format encourages slower evolution, preserves the wine’s freshness and adds a particularly appealing ageing dimension.
A mature Meursault of texture, finesse and depth, where evolution brings nuances of hazelnut, fine honey and warm stone without masking the limestone freshness of the lieu-dit. Les Tessons 2011 seduces through its balance between patina, precision and a long saline finish, in an elegant and perfectly controlled style.
Terroir: Les Tessons, depth and finesse in Meursault
Les Tessons is one of Meursault’s most admired lieux-dits, with a depth and presence that often place it among the appellation’s most sought-after village sites. Its limestone and stony soils produce Chardonnays that are broad, precise and persistent. At Pierre Morey, this richness is framed by a pure reading of the terroir, integrated ageing and great textural elegance.

Expression of the 2011 vintage
The 2011 vintage in Burgundy now offers white wines appreciated for their freshness, finesse and harmonious evolution. In Meursault, the finest terroirs produced wines that are less solar than the richest vintages, yet often elegant, digestible and delicately complex.
