Enzo Boglietti — Tradition & Modernity in La Morra

Based in La Morra, at the heart of the Langhe, Enzo Boglietti represents a modern generation of winemakers who combine deep-rooted tradition with a confident stylistic vision. Since 1991, he has transformed the family heritage into a renowned estate, now cultivating around 22 hectares across key Barolo crus — Brunate, Case Nere, Fossati, Arione, Boiolo — as well as parcels in the communes of Barolo, Monforte d’Alba, Roddino, Serralunga d’Alba, and Sinio.

History, Terroir & Philosophy

The estate truly began in 1991 with 3 hectares inherited from grandfather Matteo Boglietti (born 1899). Today, vineyards (≈ 22 ha) are spread across several communes of the Barolo appellation. The unity of style stems from rigorous viticulture, controlled yields, and a commitment to terroir expression (micro-zoning, soil stewardship). Methods — manual harvesting, extended macerations, ambitious ageing — aim to reveal the full character of Nebbiolo: power, precision, elegance.

Wine Style

Boglietti’s Barolos show harmonious concentration, firm yet polished tannins, and integrated acidity suited to ageing, with a classic aromatic profile (black cherry, licorice, spice, tar). The Langhe Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Dolcetto cuvées follow the same high standard of fruit purity and structure.

Signature Wines

  • Barolo Brunate DOCG — 100% Nebbiolo, south/southeast exposure, lean clay–silt soils.
  • Barolo Case Nere DOCG — a structured, deep cru, highly sought after.
  • Barolo Fossati DOCG — a touch more approachable, yet clearly built to age.
  • Langhe Nebbiolo DOC — a gateway to the house signature, pure and lifted.
  • Barbera d’Alba / Dolcetto d’Alba — precisely crafted “secondary” cuvées.
