Sine Qua Non – California’s Iconic Rhône-Inspired Estate
Founded in 1994 by Manfred and Elaine Krankl in Oak View (Ventura County), Sine Qua Non has become a global benchmark for its rare, Rhône-inspired micro-cuvées of Syrah and Grenache. Opulent yet remarkably precise, these wines are released through a strict allocation system and are among the most sought-after bottles by collectors worldwide.
Identity & Philosophy
A mosaic of Central Coast terroirs, extremely low yields and extended élevage define the estate’s unique character. Each vintage is assembled with precision, featuring distinctive artistic labels and an intentional rarity that reinforces its cult status.
Since 2020, all wines have been sourced exclusively from estate-owned vineyards.
