Domaine Bertagna – Vougeot, Côte de Nuits
Exceptional wines from a domaine with a Cistercian legacy. Located in Vougeot at the heart of the Côte de Nuits, Domaine Bertagna is regarded as one of Burgundy’s most refined producers. While its roots trace back to the Cistercian monks of Cîteaux (12th century), the estate’s modern identity took shape with the Reh family’s acquisition in 1982 and Eva Reh’s leadership since 1988.
About the Domaine
The estate farms roughly 20 hectares (rounded figure) across around 18 appellations, with a significant footprint in Premier Cru and Grand Cru sites. A mosaic of climats that showcases the Côte de Nuits with precision.
Viticulture & Winemaking
Tradition meets modern exactitude: carefully controlled yields, hand harvesting only, and parcel-attentive fermentations to protect fruit purity and terroir character. Oak maturations are finely judged, providing support without dominance. Farming follows organic and sustainable principles, without systematically seeking certification.
