Domaine David Duband — A Passionate Pioneer of Pinot Noir

A Modern Vision Rooted in Tradition

In 1991, David Duband took over his family’s estate, founded in 1965 in Chevannes, in the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits. With both innovation and a deep respect for his terroir, he expanded the domaine to include prestigious parcels in Gevrey-Chambertin, Nuits-Saint-Georges, and Morey-Saint-Denis. Today, with 17 hectares certified organic, David Duband is widely recognized as one of Burgundy’s leading voices for authentic, expressive Pinot Noir.

Exceptional Terroirs & Natural Viticulture

The estate has been free of herbicides since 1998, favoring plowing, cover crops, and measured use of new oak (30–40 %). Most wines are made with a high proportion of whole-cluster fermentation (40–80 %), soft extractions, indigenous yeasts, and extended lees aging. This minimalist, sensitive approach enhances aromatic purity and fine-grained tannins.

• Grands Crus – Charmes-Chambertin, Échézeaux, Clos de la Roche, Clos de Vougeot, Chambertin, Latricières-Chambertin.

A limited production of approximately 85,000 bottles ensures each climat is expressed with clarity and precision.
