Château Palmer – Sophisticated Harmony, Velvet Texture & Aromatic Power
A timeless Margaux Grand Cru combining sensuality, balance, and depth — where refinement meets emotion.
A Benchmark of Margaux Elegance
A symbol of grace in the heart of Margaux, Château Palmer is a Third Growth of the 1855 Classification whose wines captivate with their sensuality, balance, and depth. This timeless estate, stewarded by the Sichel and Mahler-Besse families, is today directed by Thomas Duroux. Under his leadership, Palmer has reached a level of excellence unanimously acclaimed by critics and collectors alike, expressing a distinctive signature of velvet texture, firm structure, and rare aromatic refinement.
Terroir & Grape Varieties
The vineyard lies on a mosaic of deep Günzian gravel and clay-limestone subsoils, gently sloping and exposed to the southwest. This combination brings both precision and tension to the wines, reinforcing their aging potential and aromatic depth.

Biodynamic Viticulture
Certified Demeter since 2017, Château Palmer practices rigorous, parcel-based biodynamic viticulture. All harvesting is carried out by hand with meticulous berry selection. Natural cover crops, hedgerow planting, and the preservation of biodiversity are integral to the estate’s vision, resulting in wines of exceptional purity and vibrancy.
Winemaking & Aging
Each parcel is vinified separately, with gentle macerations at controlled temperatures to preserve finesse and the brilliance of fruit. Aging lasts 16 to 20 months in French oak barrels (around 60% new), complemented by large wooden casks and ovoid tanks to ensure a seamless integration of tannins and subtle aromatic layering.
Signature Cuvées
The wines of Château Palmer unite power and sensuality, defined by their silken texture, balance, and unmistakable mineral edge.
