Located in Bandol, at the heart of Provence, Domaine Tempier is a true icon of French wine. Renowned worldwide for its powerful and elegant red wines and its gastronomic rosés, the estate embodies the very soul of the Bandol appellation.
Founded in the early 20th century, the domaine rose to fame thanks to Lucie “Lulu” Tempier and Lucien Peyraud, who were instrumental in shaping the identity of Bandol and obtaining the AOC in 1941. Mourvèdre remains the beating heart of Tempier’s wines.
Philosophy & Winemaking
Domaine Tempier is farmed organically, with meticulous attention from vineyard to cellar. Grapes are hand-harvested and carefully sorted.
Vinifications respect the natural expression of Mourvèdre: long macerations, and élevage in large oak foudres and barrels that respect the fruit. The rosés benefit from gentle extraction, resulting in remarkable freshness and precision.
Wine Style
