Domaine Ramonet — The timeless excellence of Chassagne-Montrachet
A legendary estate at the heart of white Burgundy.
Based in Chassagne-Montrachet, Domaine Ramonet is a true Burgundian institution. Founded in the late 1920s by Pierre “Père” Ramonet, the domaine quickly became a global reference for wines of exceptional purity and longevity.
Since 2013, the estate has been led by Jean-Claude Ramonet, continuing the family legacy established by his grandfather Pierre and consolidated by his father Noël. The Ramonet style is rooted in precision, transparency, and timeless elegance.
Exceptional Terroirs
The domaine spans around 17 hectares, mostly Chardonnay with a few Pinot Noir parcels, located in the heart of the Côte de Beaune’s most emblematic terroirs — Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet and Montrachet itself, with a jewel-like 0.26 ha plot on the Puligny side.

A Philosophy of Precision and Soil Respect
Viticulture is traditional and sustainable, with no herbicides and no unnecessary inputs. Soils are carefully worked, yields are controlled, and harvesting is done by hand at optimal ripeness to preserve each parcel’s natural balance.
- Manual soil cultivation
- Strict yield control
- Hand harvesting at optimal ripeness
Precise Winemaking & Tailored Élevage
Winemaking is conducted parcel by parcel with native yeast fermentations in oak barrels and an élevage lasting 12 to 18 months. New oak is used sparingly and always adapted to the character of each cuvée, ensuring the terroir remains at the forefront.
- Indigenous-yeast fermentations
- 12–18 months of élevage
- Measured new-oak use

Ramonet wines are renowned for their crystalline purity, mineral tension, natural balance and outstanding longevity.
