Founded in 1995 by Peter and Pamela Blankiet, Blankiet Estate is one of Napa Valley’s most confidential and sought-after properties. Located in Yountville on the foothills of the Mayacamas Mountains, this approximately seven-hectare estate is guided by a singular ambition: to craft exceptional wines inspired by the great crus of Bordeaux while expressing the distinctive character of the Californian terroir.

With the historic collaboration of Jean-Claude Berrouet, former winemaker of Château Pétrus, and the technical direction of Gilles Nicault, the estate has shaped a style defined by precision, depth, and elegance. Blankiet Estate wines are prized by collectors worldwide for their remarkable balance and outstanding aging potential.

Philosophy & Winemaking

The estate practices meticulous viticulture, with low yields and hand harvesting accompanied by rigorous sorting. Each parcel is vinified separately to preserve its identity and achieve the highest level of precision.

Fermentations are carefully controlled, and aging takes place in French oak barrels, with a high proportion of new oak, imparting structure, complexity, and longevity while preserving the purity of the fruit.

Paradise Hills Terroir

The main vineyard, located in the Paradise Hills area of Yountville, rests on volcanic and gravelly soils derived from the Mayacamas range. These well-drained soils encourage natural concentration in the grapes and lend the wines their mineral tension, structure, and depth.

Napa Valley’s diverse microclimates, combined with ideal sun exposure and hillside positioning, allow optimal ripening while preserving freshness and balance.
