"Wood and menthol aromas all but dominate the underlying dark berry fruit and pungently earthy scents. This is a big and impressively powerful Aloxe villages with excellent mid-palate density to the intense medium weight flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the lingering finale. This is not a wine of finesse but then again that's not why one buys Aloxe; recommended provided you have the patience to cellar it for at least a few years first."
