"Structured on the nose, the 2017 Granite Syrah has a black-fruited core with classic black pepper notes and hints of oak. The wine is still tightly wound on the palate, with dusty blackberries and a mineral tension to the mid-palate. Soft black pepper tones coupled with grippy and fine-grained tannins linger on the long finish. Not yet released, this wine shows tremendous aging potential."
