Château L’Évangile 2009
A solar Pomerol: velvet texture, depth and Merlot sensuality
Terroir
Château L’Évangile is one of the major estates of Pomerol. Located on gravel and clay soils, close to some of the appellation’s most prestigious crus, it produces deep, velvety and intensely expressive wines shaped by the nobility of Merlot.
The 2009 vintage, generous and solar, offers a broad and sensual expression of L’Évangile. Ripe fruit, rich texture and silky tannins combine with remarkable depth. This is a powerful yet refined Pomerol, already seductive while retaining excellent capacity for further evolution.
