Terroir & parcels

The Les Ratenets cuvée comes from parcels in Cressier, within the Neuchâtel AOC, on the northern shores of Lake Neuchâtel. The vineyards benefit from a temperate microclimate moderated by the lake, which reduces temperature extremes and promotes slow, even ripening.

Regional soils are typically composed of Jurassic limestone, marl and stony elements from glacial deposits. This combination ensures good drainage and gives the wines their characteristic mineral freshness and aromatic precision.

Pinot Noir is the emblematic grape of Neuchâtel and is particularly well suited to this cool climate. At Domaine Ruedin, winemaking aims to preserve terroir expression and fruit purity, with gentle extraction and aging designed to maintain finesse and balance.
