The Estournelles St Jacques Premier Cru lies above Lavaux St Jacques on the northern slope of Gevrey-Chambertin, offering cool exposures and stony soils. The Humbert brothers craft here a wine of finesse, balance and precision.
The 2018 vintage, warm yet well-managed, shows aromas of black cherry, violet, incense and crushed stone. The palate is supple and linear, with fine-grained tannins and saline energy. Long mineral finish. A Premier Cru Pinot Noir of elegance and poise, with excellent aging potential.
