Located on the right bank of the Loire River, Domaine du Clos Naudin is run by Vincent Foreau, heir to a long line of passionate winegrowers. Founded by Gaston Foreau in 1910, the estate stands today as a benchmark for great Chenin Blancs, known for their purity, precision, and remarkable longevity.
Tuffeau soils & Loire exposure
The estate’s 12 hectares are planted exclusively with Chenin Blanc on clay-limestone and tuffeau soils typical of Vouvray. The vineyards’ exposure ensures slow, even ripening, essential to producing wines that are both vibrant and ample, with exceptional aging potential.
Respectful viticulture & vineyard rigor
Although not formally certified, the farming is organic in practice: no herbicides, no synthetic pesticides, manual soil work, hand harvesting, and meticulous grape sorting. Vineyard precision remains at the core of the estate’s identity.
