Domaine François Mikulski — Purity and Elegance in Meursault
Meursault • Côte de Beaune • Founded in 1992 • Organic viticulture
An emblematic Meursault estate
Founded in 1992 by François Mikulski, the estate has rapidly established itself as a benchmark name in Burgundy. Inheriting family parcels, François built his reputation on a modern vision of Meursault: pure, tense and precise wines, far from heavy-handed styles. The domaine now spans around 20 parcels across Meursault, Volnay, Pommard and Saint-Aubin.
Philosophy & vineyard practices
- Organic farming (not biodynamic certified), with natural treatments and compost applications.
- Careful soil work, respect for soil life, and controlled yields.
- Manual harvesting and strict sorting in the vineyard.
Winemaking & ageing
- Gentle pneumatic pressing and fermentations with indigenous yeasts.
- Aging in oak barrels with 15 to 30% new oak, preserving the wine’s precision and energy.
- Bottled with minimal intervention to maintain purity and vitality.
Wine style
Mikulski wines are defined by their tension, aromatic clarity and crystalline minerality. The Meursault bottlings express Chardonnay with precision, showing notes of citrus, white flowers and fresh hazelnut. The reds are elegant, fresh and finely structured.
