Domaine Méo-Camuzet — Burgundian excellence in the heart of Vosne-Romanée

An icon of Vosne-Romanée, shaped by two families and a legacy of great terroirs.
Located in Vosne-Romanée, at the heart of the Côte de Nuits, Domaine Méo-Camuzet is one of Burgundy’s most respected estates. Its origins trace back to Étienne Camuzet, a visionary landowner and politician of the early 20th century, who assembled some of the finest terroirs in the region.

This legacy was passed to the Méo family, today led by Jean-Nicolas Méo. Taking over in the late 1980s, and trained under the legendary Henri Jayer, Jean-Nicolas has shaped the estate’s modern style with precision, elegance and respect for terroir. Under his leadership, Méo-Camuzet has become a global benchmark for Vosne-Romanée.

Mythical terroirs in the heart of the Côte de Nuits

The estate spans 17.5 hectares over 14 to 20 appellations, including some of Burgundy’s most legendary climats.

Grands Crus

  • Richebourg (approx. 0.35 ha) — produced in tiny quantities
  • Clos de Vougeot — upper section of the Clos, famed for finesse and structure
  • Échezeaux
  • Corton Clos Rognet

Iconic Premiers Crus

  • Cros Parantoux (Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru) — a legendary parcel next to Richebourg, made famous by Henri Jayer
  • Vosne-Romanée Aux Brûlées
  • Nuits-Saint-Georges Aux Murgers

Other appellations

The estate also produces Vosne-Romanée Village, Nuits-Saint-Georges and Bourgogne Rouge “Cuvée Étienne Camuzet.”

Thoughtful and meticulous viticulture

  • Careful soil management, minimal chemical inputs, respect for biodiversity
  • 100% manual harvest with rigorous sorting
  • Striking a balance between full ripeness and natural freshness

Although not certified organic or biodynamic, the domaine has long embraced environmentally respectful practices.

Precise winemaking and structured élevage

Each plot is vinified separately to preserve its individual identity. Fermentations are natural, with gentle extractions and carefully controlled temperatures.

  • Natural fermentations and gentle extractions
  • Aging in 228L Burgundy pièces
  • High proportion of new oak on Grands Crus

This meticulous approach yields wines with refined texture, silky structure, and complex aromas of black fruit, spice, and forest floor.
