Rustic Elegance Enhanced by the Cattaneo Family
Acquired in 1861, Château Franc Mayne is now owned by Sophie Cattaneo and her husband Laurent, enlightened co-managers of the estate. They are accompanied by Jean-Luc Farge, manager for over 20 years, and consulting oenologist Olivier Decelle, who bring finesse and consistency to the wines, balancing tradition and modernity.

Terroir & Grape Varieties: Alliance of Limestone and Deep Merlot
The estate spans 26 hectares of sandy-loam soils on a limestone subsoil, well-drained and suitable for Merlot. The planting consists mainly of Merlot (≈ 85%), complemented by Cabernet Franc (≈ 15%) for structure.

Viticulture & Philosophy: Natural, Precision, and Sustainability
Sustainable viticulture, natural grassing of the inter-rows, manual harvesting sorted in small lots. The family is committed to sustainable practices, limiting inputs and aiming for the authentic expression of the terroir and vintage.

Vinification & Aging: Structure and Mineral Elegance
Parcel-based vinification in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats, with maceration of 3 to 4 weeks and adapted pump-overs. Aging for 16 to 18 months in French barrels (≈50% new), designed to enhance the material and maintain mineral freshness.

Iconic Cuvées
Château Franc Mayne (Grand Vin): deep and refined, blackberry fragrances, violet, delicate spices, structured palate, fine tannins, long and saline finish.
Dioxina (second wine): fruity, floral, accessible, perfect with softer tannins from a young age or after a year in the cellar.
