Domaine des Landions – Cortaillod (Neuchâtel)

Estate Overview

Overlooking Lake Neuchâtel, the Domaine des Landions is a discreet yet outstanding estate run by the Meier family, who have established themselves among the leading names in Swiss Pinot Noir.
Working organically and with deep respect for their terroir, they craft wines of striking precision and purity, combining artisanal savoir-faire with modern finesse.

Terroir and Philosophy

The estate covers about 7 hectares on limestone-rich slopes facing the lake, benefiting from the gentle breezes and freshness of Neuchâtel’s microclimate.
Each parcel is vinified separately to reveal its individuality. Fermentations occur naturally, and the wines are aged in neutral oak barrels, allowing the terroir to speak without interference.
The result is a collection of wines that capture the vibrant minerality and depth of this exceptional region.

Grape Varieties and Winemaking

Pinot Noir dominates the vineyard, expressed through several single-vineyard cuvées of remarkable clarity and character.
A small parcel of Chardonnay produces a white wine of crystalline tension and finesse.
Yields are kept low, the winemaking is minimalist, and bottling takes place with the utmost care to preserve the wines’ natural harmony.

Style and Identity

Domaine des Landions wines are recognized for their purity, elegance, and mineral energy.
The Pinot Noirs display depth and silkiness with subtle saline undertones, while the Chardonnay Les Calcaires shows brilliance and precision.
Each bottle reflects the estate’s commitment to crafting authentic, terroir-driven Swiss wines of timeless style.

Signature Wines

  • Les Landions – Straight and structured Pinot Noir, the domaine’s signature.

  • Les Cailloutis – Elegant, floral Pinot Noir with refined texture.

  • Clos du Château – Grand, deep Pinot Noir of rare distinction.

  • Les Calcaires – Chardonnay of crystalline energy and mineral purity.

The Domaine des Landions ranks among Switzerland’s top 150 producers (Gault & Millau).
Its Pinot Noir Les Landions won 1st place at the 2020 Grand Prix du Vin Suisse, while Clos du Château 2022 earned 19/20 from Weinwisser.
