Most wanted wine estate by region:
When Giulio Salvioni commenced production in 1985 at his La Cerbaiola estate, he did so with Attilio Pagli at his side. Pagli’s career commenced at Soldera, where he mentored under esteemed consultant Giulio Gambelli.
Giulio Salvioni now owns 22ha land, uses only 4ha for the vineyards and he produces only 15,000 bottles without any compromise.
Salvioni distinguishes himself most prominently through what he doesn’t have, however—namely, a Riserva.
In September 2014, Samuel Billaud becomes an oenologist and manages 4 hectares of vineyards scattered throughout the denominations of Petit Chablis, Chablis, Chablis Premier Cru Séchet, Mont de Milieu, Montée de Tonnerre, Chablis Grand Cru Vaudésir, Les Clos.
”We should see him...at the top of Chablis producers alongside...Raveneau and Vincent Dauvissat.”

Sandhi is a small production California winery focusing on select vineyards from the Sta. Rita Hills in Santa Barbara County. Sandhi was founded in 2010 by Rajat Parr, the wine director for Michael Mina Restaurants, and winemaker, Sashi Moorman.
Sandhi is dedicated to making wines of finesse, minerality, acidity, structure and balance. Wine achieves power and beauty through the seamless integration of these qualities, and this is the inspiration for us. We feel wines exhibiting extreme ripeness, alcohol, oak and other discordant exaggerations cannot truly express a specific vineyards’ terroir.
The Bodega Sangenís i Vaqué was founded in 1978 by Pere Sangenís and Conxita Vaqué in the wine region of Priorat.
The vineyards are located in Porrera, famous for its llicorella (schist and slate) terraces and vines, all of which are venerable, and divided between Garnacha and Cariñena.
The house of Santi was founded in 1843 by Attilio Carlo Santi, who started his production with the classics – Soave, Valpolicella, Recioto, Amarone and Bardolino obtained from the grapes he harvested in his own vineyards in the heart of the very best zones.
Over the years, Santi has gradually transformed.
It launched the “GIV quality system” that runs through the entire production process, from the vineyard to vinification techniques to the wine-making philosophy to bottling.

Saxum Vineyards, founded by Justin and Heather Smith, is today one of the most sought-after wineries in Paso Robles, California. Renowned for its Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre (GSM) blends, the estate expresses the full richness of the terroir through unique limestone soils and artisanal winemaking techniques.
Located in the Willow Creek district, Saxum Vineyards enjoys an ideal climate for Rhône varietals. The vines are planted on steep hillsides with limestone-rich soils, giving the wines remarkable depth and elegance. This terroir, coupled with low yields and precision viticulture, results in wines of unparalleled concentration and finesse.
Justin Smith takes a non-interventionist approach, favoring natural methods to enhance the terroir expression:
✔ Organic and sustainable farming without pesticides or herbicides.
✔ Hand-harvested at optimal ripeness.
✔ Fermentation with native yeasts to preserve the identity of the wine.
✔ Extended aging in oak barrels and amphorae for added complexity.
✔ Limited production and bottling without filtration, ensuring wines of exceptional purity.
The estate's wines stand out for their aromatic richness, silky texture, and excellent aging potential. Some of the most prestigious cuvées include:
Saxum’s wines are highly sought after and produced in limited quantities (~3,000 cases annually). As the estate does not have an open tasting room, its wines are only available through a waiting list or select specialized wine merchants.
✔ Perfect balance of power and elegance
✔ Unique limestone terroir of Paso Robles
✔ Exceptional ratings from international critics
✔ Artisanal, organic production methods
Saxum Vineyards embodies the excellence of Paso Robles’ finest wines, combining depth, minerality, and complexity. If you’re looking for an exceptional Californian wine, Saxum is an indispensable reference.
SCHLOSS HALBTURN cultivates about 50 hectares, divided into two vineyards (Jois Jungenberg with about 8 hectare and Wittmannshof in Halbturn with about 42 hectare).
Longer ageing in barrels and bottles and the introduction of most of the red wines to the market not earlier than four years after the harvest make the wine ready for drinking right away.
The Schlossgut Bachtobel estate has been family owned since 1784.
The highlight here, for which people travel the whole length of Switzerland and abroad, is the Pinot Noir, simply named #1, #2 and #3.
Schrader Cellars, like many of the world’s best wineries grew from a passion for wine. Fred Schrader, the wineries founder came to the conclusion that he wanted to make wine in 1988 when attending the famous Napa Valley Wine Auction.
Schrader Cellars focuses on Cabernet Sauvignon, producing several unique wines.
In June, 2017, Schrader Cellars was sold to Constellation Brands for a whopping $60 million Dollars! This record setting price is even more incredible when you consider Schrader Cellars does not own vineyards, just contracts to purchase grapes!
Gerhard Kracher of the Kracher estate in Illmitz, famed for it's sweet wines, has teamed up with Heidi Schröck in a joint winemaking venture. The original idea for the project came from Gerhard's late father Alois Kracher, who often spoke with his son about his desire to branch out and try something new across the lake in Rust, the heartland of Ausbruch wine.
Located in Oakville in the Napa Valley, the Screaming Eagle winery was founded in 1986 by Jean Phillips, a former real estate agent, who was eager to make this 57-acre terroir (about 23 hectares) a standard among the finest Californian wines.
