Weingut zur alten Post (Georg Schlegel)

Located in Jenins in Swiss canton Graubünden, Weingut zur alten Post specialises in the vinification of top-class wines. Schlegel explains further: “Our growing area has enormous potential and offers the best growing conditions for a variety of grapes. While our assortment concentrates mainly on Burgundy varieties such as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Gris and Blanc, we also produce Schiller, a top-class rosé wine, as well as distillates such as Marc or Bianco da Giorgio.”

This committed winemaker’s policy is simple but rare in the area: he is a natural wine fundamentalist. But make no mistake: behind his super cool appearance, Yann is a meticulous, determined, hard-working perfectionist, which makes him the future of Burgundy. Watch out, he is pure talent!

Yves Cuilleron
Yves Cuilleron is a leading figure in the Northern Rhône Valley, renowned for his dynamic approach and unwavering commitment to quality. Since taking over the family estate in 1987, he has significantly expanded the vineyards, growing from 3.5 hectares to approximately 75 hectares across prestigious appellations such as Condrieu, Saint-Joseph, Côte-Rôtie, Crozes-Hermitage, Cornas, and Saint-Péray.

Among his standout wines are:

Les Serines in Saint-Joseph Rouge: a pure expression of Syrah on granite soils.

Bassenon and Madinière in Côte-Rôtie: wines combining power and elegance, sourced from meticulously selected plots.

Les Chaillets and Les Ayguets in Condrieu: rich and aromatic white wines crafted from old Viognier vines.

Yves Cuilleron practices sustainable viticulture, favoring natural fermentations with indigenous yeasts and parcel-specific vinifications to fully showcase the unique characteristics of each terroir. Since 2015, he has introduced “lieu-dit” wines, emphasizing single-vineyard expressions, an approach reminiscent of Burgundy's cru system.
