  • Il Poggione

"This tradition-minded property is currently owned by the fifth generation of the Franceschi family. Estate manager Fabrizio Bindocci started in 1976, first responsible for viticulture, then adding winemaking duties in 1999. Il Poggione’s 320 acres of vineyards range in elevation from 500 to 1,500 feet, giving Bindocci, now joined by his son Alessandro, the resources to make a balanced Brunello each vintage."

  • Irène Grünenfelder

The estate is 3.5 hectares, partly owned and partly rented it.

The vineyards are located for one part in Fläsch, where shale dominates; and the other part in Jenins where soils are heavier.

Pinot Noir largely dominates the production with 70% of the total area, which is not a surprise. The vineyard produces three different Pinot Noir wines, the Cuvée "Eichholz being the flagship wine.

  • Jacquesson

Voted the third best of all Champagne Houses (after Bollinger and Krug) in 2005 La Revue Des Vins De France, Jacquesson has really come of age.

As well as producing some superb vintage and prestige cuvee's they have won an enormous following for their cuvee 730 serie wines, which express the best of the vintage years going into them and are really more akin to vintage Champagne then anything else and can age in the cellar for up to 15 years.

  • Jean Gros

Côtes de Nuits connoisseurs will tell you that the name Gros covers several different domains. The original Louis Gros domain was divided up between his three children, which resulted in the Gros Frère et Soeur, François Gros and Jean Gros domains at the beginning of the 1970s.

In 1995 Jean Gros retired and shared his domain between his three children: Michel, Anne-Françoise (François Parent's wife, the owner of the Domaine AF Gros at Pommard), and Bernard Gros (manager of the Gros Frère et Soeur domain).

  • Jean-Claude Bachelet

Jean-Baptiste Bachelet and his brother, Benoit farm biodynamically, although the winery is not certified.

  • Jean-Luc Colombo

Jean-Luc Colombo and his wife Anne first established an oenological laboratory in Cornas in the Northern Rhône in 1982.

His philosphy is to produce fruit forward and elegant wines, pure in flavor and expressive of their terroir.

  • Jean-Luc Jamet

The domaine was created in 2013, when brothers Jean-Luc and Jean-Paul Jamet went their separate ways.

There are five hectares of Côte-Rôtie, two of Côtes-du-Rhône, and one hectare of Vin de Pays.
