    Charles Joguet took over his family's mixed farm while studying art in Paris, following the death of his father. The eponymous domaine was founded in 1957. He did away with the other forms of agriculture to concentrate on grape production.

    The Charles Noëllat estate was a historic vineyard located in Vosne-Romanée, at the heart of the Côte de Nuits in Burgundy. The estate owned prestigious plots, including the grand cru Richebourg, one of the most sought-after terroirs in the region.
