  • Azienda Agricola Montevetrano

Azienda Agricola Montevetrano: The Excellence of Campanian Wine

Azienda Agricola Montevetrano, located in Campania, is a historic estate acquired by Silvia Imparato's grandparents in the 1940s. The estate covers 26 hectares, and it was in 1991 that the first batch of the famous wine Montevetrano was produced, initially only for family and friends. Today, although production remains limited to just 20,000 bottles per year, it is globally recognized for its excellence.

    Montevetrano Wine: A Unique Blend

Montevetrano is an iconic red wine made with a 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Aglianico blend. This cuvée stands out with its complex aromas of ripe fruit, cassis, and delicate spices, along with a rich, elegant structure. Each bottle embodies the unique terroir of the region and the exceptional craftsmanship of the Imparato family.

A Unique Terroir in the Picentini Mountains

The estate is located in the Picentini Mountain Regional Park, a mountainous area offering ideal conditions for vine cultivation. Volcanic soils, a Mediterranean climate, and the altitude of the vineyards contribute to the singularity and quality of the wines produced here.

    Confidential and Artisan Production

With only 20,000 bottles produced per year, Azienda Agricola Montevetrano prioritizes quality over quantity. Each wine is meticulously crafted, respecting traditions and the environment. The estate produces fine, elegant wines that combine richness, complexity, and freshness.

    Sustainable Practices and Environmental Stewardship

The Imparato family is deeply committed to sustainable viticulture. Azienda Agricola Montevetrano employs environmentally respectful practices to preserve the local biodiversity while continuing to produce exceptional wines.

  • Azienda Agricola Palari

The winemaking philosophy under Salvatore Geraci is simple: make two wines with the same indigenous grapes but with different selections.

His Rosso del Soprano, a blend based on a wine known in antiquity as Mamertino, comes from the native nerello mascalese, nerello cappuccio, and nocera grapes.

The primary wine to be featured from Palari is Faro. Here the wine includes a finer selection of the same grapes to make this a Tre Bicchieri winner. Faro (which means lighthouse) is a little DOC, almost the smallest in Italy

  • Azienda Agricola Planeta

Planeta Winery is one of the premier wine estates of Sicily, and a veritable fine wine empire.

Planeta was founded in the 1990’s by cousins Alessio, and Santi Planeta and their uncle Diego Planeta.

Planeta are in fact regularly lauded in the wine press and this year they receive an unprecedented eight Tre Bicchieri awards from the Gambero Rosso

  • azienda agricola poliziano

Poliziano was started in 1961 with an initial nucleus of 22 hectares. It has grown over the years to reach its present size of 120 hectares, all planted in vineyards.

Its name is an homage to the humanist poet Angelo Ambrogini (1454-1494), known as "Il Poliziano", who was born in Montepulciano.

  • Balvenie

Balvenie was built by William Grant in 1892 and remains part of his family's company to this day.

In the early part of its history, its purpose was primarily for the provision of malt for Grant's blends, however following the global success of Glenfiddich, the Balvenie single malt brand was launched in 1973. It remained a rarity though, and it was not until the opening of Kininvie in 1990, and later Ailsa Bay in Girvan, that the distillery was given the freedom to focus on its single malt. Today it is one of the best recognised brands in the world.

As a result, independent bottlings are especially rare.

Barros porto is today, and since 2006, part of the Sogevinus Group.
