  • WEINGUT MÖHR-NIGGLI

    Passion and dedication are the most important ingredients when it comes to making quality wine. Sina and Matthias Gubler-Möhr cannot imagine a life without producing wines, something you can certainly taste. The Swiss winery started out as a hobby for Sina Gubler-Möhr’s parents Fortunat and Magda Möhr-Niggli, who slowly turned their inherited agricultural farminto a wine
    estate. With the help of friends and Family, their dream came true, as the winery became their main occupation in the 1990s.

  • Weingut Paul Achs

    Golser 'Pannobile' winemaker Paul Achs joined his parents' business full-time with the 1991 harvest and just four years later was named Falstaff Winemaker of the Year.

    Since then, the winery, which was once dedicated to white wines and combined tradition with modern cellar technology, has become a producer of excellent red wines. Red wine now accounts for 90 per cent of the estate's production. Paul Achs produces elegant wines with an eye for detail. Most of the wines are aged in barriques. This applies to Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc as well as the red wine specialities - from Pinot Noir to Blaufränkisch "Ungerberg" and the cuvée "Pannobile".

    A strict harvest limit of 3,000 kilograms of grapes per hectare is considered a prerequisite for top quality - an effort that has long since paid off, as Paul Achs' wines are among the best on the Austrian red wine scene, as the annual Falstaff Red Wine Awards attest.

  • WEINGUT POCKL

    The history of the Pöckl winery starts in 1910, when Albert Pöckl laid the cornerstone for the farm which comprised cultivation of land, livestock breeding and viniculture at that time. Together with his wife Katharina he also ran the village's tavern.

    In 1979, Josef Pöckl decided to exclusively grow red grape varieties. Considering the climate and the soil composition, Josef planted the well-known regional varieties Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch, St. Laurent and Pinot Noir and he began to experiment with the international varieties Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

    In 1996 their son René (then only 17 years old) made his first wine, having planted Syrah at the age of 14 and deciding to blend it with Zweigelt. At only 18 years old, he won the Falstaff Prize of Winemaking (the highest award for a winemakter in Austria), for his wine Reve de Jeunesse- “Dream of Youth”.

  • Weingut Rudolf Fürst

    Documented founding of the winery dates to 1638. The modern history of the winery started with  Paul and Monika Fürst which built a new winery in 1979. Sebastian Furst got the full membership in the family winemaking team in 2007.

    There are around 20 hectares of premium vineyards on the west side of Franken. They include unique sites like: Centgrafenberg, Hundsrück, Schlossberg, Karthäuser. It is mainly iron-rich red sandstone unusual for Franken.  Framed by two low mountain ranges of Spessart and Odenwald the area historically was known for producing better red wines. An average of 120,000 bottles of wine are produced annually.

  • Weingut Van Volxem

    Vineyards were originally planted by the Romans in the third century. In the 11th century, monks rediscovered the vineyards before they became part of a monastery winery under the Jesuit order in the 17th century. Latterly, the winery was run by the estates namesake, the Van Volxem family, before Roman Niewodniczanski took over the winery in 2000.

    The wines of the Saar are given their character by the mineral-rich, fertile slate soils and the prevailing cool climate. Harvesting happens by hand, with conscientious selection guaranteeing consistently high quality. Largely rootless vines have been perched on the great sites for many decade

    Winegrowing has been in the von Oetinger family since 1828, but it was not until 1966 that Robert von Oetinger laid the foundation for what would later be called Weingut von Oetinger. Son Achim has been running this third-generation family winery since 2005.

  • WEINGUT VON WINNING

    Weingut Von Winning is a famous Palatinate winery with a long tradition - it was founded in 1849.

    The turning point came in 2007 when the winery got new owners and began to manage its 40 hectares of vineyards biodynamically. In the cellar, they returned to traditional methods of fermentation and maturation in larger oak barrels with a minimum of additives and other interventions. The grapes come from the most famous Palatinate vineyards near Forst and Deidesheim - the Kirchenstück, Ungeheuer, Pechstein, Kalkofen and many more. These are definitely among the most interesting wines Germany has to offer. Vineyards are set on a colorful cocktail of subsoils - there is red and yellow sandstone, limestone from the former coral reefs, and also pieces of basalt brought in the 18th century from the Palatinate forest. Most of the vineyards are planted with Riesling and are oriented to the east and south-east. As a result, grapes in this warmest corner of Germany reach ripeness at the right moment. In addition to the "Von Winning'' line, the winery also makes an entry range of wines under the "Dr.Deinhard" brand.

  • Weingut Wegelin

    In 2019, Rafael Hug took over from Peter Wegelin at the helm of this flagship estate in Malans, Graubünden. He continued the move initiated by Wegelin to develop plot-based wines. Deep understanding of the terroir enables the estate to draw out the essence of the Pinots Noir and Chardonnay that flourish in each of the Scadena, Frassa, Bothmarhalde and Weisstorkel plots.
