Most wanted wine estate by region:
"Here the brooding and distinctly cool nose of various dark berries, underbrush, forest floor and humus is set off by enough wood to mention. The racy, intense and delineated middle weight flavors are overtly mineral-driven yet the firm finish is somewhat grippy and a bit short. I like the mid-palate mouthfeel though like the Poissenots the balance isn't quite perfect."

Elegant and powerful, with silky tannins and excellent ageing potential.
Petite Chapelle – The domaine’s flagship cuvée. Deep, intense, and refined.
Poissenot – Complex and balanced, with precise fruit and long finish.
Estournelles Saint-Jacques – Structured and mineral, with great tension.
La Perrière – Dense and polished, a classic Gevrey profile.
An excellent introduction to the Humbert style: ripe tannins, purity of fruit, and precision.
A more accessible cuvée – perfect for discovering the estate's spirit.
Sustainable farming, no herbicides, regular ploughing
Hand-harvested grapes, strict sorting at the vine and winery
Open vat fermentation with native yeasts
Aged for 15 to 18 months in French oak barrels (20–50% new wood)
Bottled without fining or filtration (when possible)
Wines from Domaine Humbert Frères are known for:
Deep, vibrant colour
Firm but elegant tannic structure
Rich aromatics: black fruit, spices, forest floor
Excellent ageing capacity – 10 to 20+ years for top crus
Recent vintages show outstanding balance and finesse, with a clearer expression of the terroirs – particularly in Petite Chapelle, now recognized as one of the estate’s finest plots.
