Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Estournelles Saint-Jacques 2017 - Domaine Humbert Freres

Tasting notes

"Here the brooding and distinctly cool nose of various dark berries, underbrush, forest floor and humus is set off by enough wood to mention. The racy, intense and delineated middle weight flavors are overtly mineral-driven yet the firm finish is somewhat grippy and a bit short. I like the mid-palate mouthfeel though like the Poissenots the balance isn't quite perfect."
