"While Esmonin’s “regular” village Gevrey 2007 was uncooperatively reduced when I encountered it from bottle last year and I did not have chance to taste the corresponding Cote De Nuits-Villages, her 2007 Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes is fascinatingly-scented with cinnamon, rose petal, black tea, dark cherry, and blackberry; offers impressively dark color, palpable density, silken texture, and energetic brightness for its vintage; and finishes with a lovely persistence of rich fruit and spice. .
