Clos de la Roche 2015 - Domaine Lecheneaut

Tasting notes
The Clos de la Roche 2015 from Domaine Lécheneaut is a grand cru from the Côte de Nuits, with a deep red color. The nose reveals complex aromas of ripe black fruits, such as blackberry and black cherry, with spicy notes of pepper and clove. On the palate, it offers a silky texture, with flavors of dark fruits, spices, and a hint of undergrowth. The fine, well-integrated tannins lead to a long, elegant finish. This wine has excellent aging potential, improving over 10 to 15 years. It pairs perfectly with game, red meats in sauce, or aged cheeses. An ideal choice for Burgundy wine collectors.

INFORMATIONS ABOUT THE ESTATE

Founded in 1960 by Fernand Lécheneaut, the domaine started out with two and a half hectares of vineyards divided among the communes of Nuits-Saint-Georges, Chambolle-Musigny, and Morey-Saint-Denis.

In 1985, Fernand passed away and his sons Philippe and Vincent took over. Their father had always sold wine in barrel and when the brothers took over, they were the first to bottle, making 1985 the first vintage with the Domaine Lécheneaut label.
