Clos de la Roche 2018 - Domaine Lecheneaut

Tasting notes

"Volumes are very small at only 350 litres, but Vincent Léchenaut's new oak-aged Clos de la Roche from the northern part of the Grand Cru is very well judged indeed and definitely worth tracking down. Chalky, textured and refined, with very well integrated wood, filigree tannins and the patrician bearing you expect from such a special terroir."

INFORMATIONS ABOUT THE ESTATE

Founded in 1960 by Fernand Lécheneaut, the domaine started out with two and a half hectares of vineyards divided among the communes of Nuits-Saint-Georges, Chambolle-Musigny, and Morey-Saint-Denis.

In 1985, Fernand passed away and his sons Philippe and Vincent took over. Their father had always sold wine in barrel and when the brothers took over, they were the first to bottle, making 1985 the first vintage with the Domaine Lécheneaut label.
