Meursault Les Chevalières 2017 - Anne Boisson

Tasting notes

One of the top climats of Meursault. This sits on the same elevation as the villages 1er crus but faces more east. It has racy acidity and well-defined minerals with a nutty profile that is very classic Meursault.

"Opening in the glass with scents of citrus oil, green apple, blanched almonds, smoke and wheat toast, the 2017 Meursault Chevalières is medium to full-bodied, bright and incisive, with a tightly wound core, good concentration and a long, tangy finish. This is the first vintage of Chevalières to appear under the Anne Boisson label, the 2016 having been the last to appear as Boisson-Vadot."

INFORMATIONS ABOUT THE ESTATE

The Boisson-Vadot Domaine, located in Meursault, Burgundy, is a family estate renowned for its exceptional white wines, particularly from the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir varietals. Founded by Bernard Boisson, the estate spans 8.5 hectares in the Côte de Beaune. Since 2017, Bernard has been gradually passing the reins to his children, Pierre and Anne, who also produce wines under their own name. The domaine’s wines are known for their finesse and precision, especially the Meursault Les Grands Charrons and Meursault Village. The élevage process is lengthy, with minimal use of new oak, allowing the wines to express the unique terroir of Meursault. The whites are intense, perfect for aging, and never dominated by wood, even in their youth. Visitors can explore the history and craftsmanship of the estate through guided tours and tastings.
