"The 2016 Chardonnay Unique is deep and noble on the Burgundian (Meursault) nose: perfectly ripe and very intense, with a deep mineral expression that gives a coolish and crystalline character. On the palate, this is a tight, fresh and compact Chardonnay with a firm structure and very long, crystalline and stimulating salty finish. A highly promising wine, it is compact, tight, salty and so long and stimulating. Great! "

INFORMATIONS ABOUT THE ESTATE

Domaine Donatsch consists of approximately 15 acres of vineyards.

Pinot Noir accounts for 50% of annual production, Chardonnay 17%, Completer 17%, Pinot Blanc 10%, and other varieties 6%. The average production per year is 30,000 bottles or 2500 cases. 

Three different Pinot Noirs are made – “Tradition”, “Passion”, and “Unique”. To use a Burgundian comparison, “Tradition” is like a village wine, “Passion” is a 1er Cru, and “Unique” is a Grand Cru.
