SCHLOSS HALBTURN cultivates about 50 hectares, divided into two vineyards (Jois Jungenberg with about 8 hectare and Wittmannshof in Halbturn with about 42 hectare).
Longer ageing in barrels and bottles and the introduction of most of the red wines to the market not earlier than four years after the harvest make the wine ready for drinking right away.

Gerhard Kracher of the Kracher estate in Illmitz, famed for it's sweet wines, has teamed up with Heidi Schröck in a joint winemaking venture. The original idea for the project came from Gerhard's late father Alois Kracher, who often spoke with his son about his desire to branch out and try something new across the lake in Rust, the heartland of Ausbruch wine.
