Domaine Pierre Gonon is located in Mauves in the Ardèche.
Loacted on very difficult terroirs, work in the vineyard here is tough. With the help of winches and hoists, the vines are cultivated by hand and never see pesticides or insecticides.
Pierre Morey is a living legend in Burgundy. He was the régisseur (winemaker and vineyard manager) for the famed Domaine Leflaive.
He is responsible for producing some of the greatest white wines in the history of Burgundy.
The Domaine Pierre Usseglio is now runned by Pierre’s two sons Jean-Pierre and Thierry. Half of the vines on the estates are more than 60 years old and the remaining half are around 30 years old.
The Réserve Des Deux Frères and Cuvée de Mon Aieul Châteauneuf-du-Pape are produced from some of the oldest vines of the estates creating amazing wines.
Domaine Ponsot is a wine producer in Burgundy, France that produces white and red wine.
They are best known for their Morey St.Denis Blanc 1er cru Clos des Monts Luisants — the only premier cru Burgundy made entirely from Aligoté— and their flagship reds, the Clos de la Roche Cuvée Vieilles Vignes, and the Clos St. Denis Cuvée Très Vieilles Vignes.
Domaine Prieur Brunet is based in Santenay and produce a very good range of both red and white Burgundies wines in the Côte de Beaune.
The domaine can trace its history back to 1804 and is run today by the charismatic couple of Dominique Prieur and his wife Claude Uny-Prieur.
Based in Prémeaux, Domaine Prieuré Roch has a total of 14 hectares of vines of which approximately 12 are in the Côte de Nuits, mainly in the Nuits-Saint-Georges appellation.
The vines are farmed organically with half an eye on biodynamics. The grapes are vinified with all their stems in wooden vats.
Winery located on the East side of the valley of Negrar, Giuseppe Quintarelli is one of the Veneto’s most important producer.
Quintarelli releases his wines when he feels they are ready, and top bottlings are produced only when the wines are of sufficient quality, as is the case with the Amarone.
In vintages, where Quintarelli feels the wine does not merit the Amarone designation, it is classified and sold as Rosso del Bepi.
The rarest of all the Quintarelli wines, Amabile del Cerè "Bandito" IGT: the current vintage is 2003 and the one before was 1990. It is named after a lost barrel that was hidden under food stores and undiscovered during a Nazi raid of the property during WWII. The barrel was discovered years later and the wine had aged beautifully.
He has received renown for the cult wine, Alzero and its mythical Amarone. All these wines are phenomenal and remain objects of desire amoung the world's best-heeled collectors.
The undisputed master of Chassagne-Montrachet. Although Ramonet is best known for white wines—and rightly so—this producer's red Clos Saint-Jean is superb wine with eye-opening depth and character, as is the red Clos de la Boudriotte.
The vineyard extends over 20 hectares, spread between Pernand-Vergelesses, Savigny-les-Beaune, Chorey-les-Beaune, Aloxe-Corton and Beaune.
The wines are of a modern style and express the typical nature of their terroir.
The estate was created in 1948, when François Raveneau consolidated his holdings with his wife’s family’s vineyard parcels.
The wines of Domaine Raveneau are a rare find and outstanding because of their tremendous quality and consistency. Indeed, even in vintages when other vintners struggled to get their grapes ripe, one could rest vitually assured of magic in the wines of Raveneau.
The vineyards of Usseglio spread on 21 hectares, of which 16 ha are in Châteauneuf du Pape and 5 ha in Cotes du Rhône .
Half their vines are situated near the road in the lieu-dit “La Crau” and the other half on the hill across the road from the actual ruins of the new castle of the Pope.
The average age for his Châteauneuf vines is between 50 & 60 years old and the cuvée Imperiale vines are over 110 years old.
Bernard Bouvier has 17 hectares under vine in and around Gevrey, Fixin and Marsannay.
Vines average 50 years old. Yields are extremely low and the domaine is run on organic principles.
