With these 14 hectares, mostly in grand cru classé, in the vineyard of Gevrey-Chambertin and Morey-Saint-Denis , the domaine Armand Rousseau is the reference in Burgundy in terms of history and quality.
Agnes Paquet’s family has held an important parcel of vines in the appellation Auxey-Duresses since the mid-1950s. Until 2000, the family rented the land to local vignerons. It was then, when the family decided to sell the vineyard, that Agnes decided to take on the land herself and become a winemaker.
In 1958, Alain Voge joined his father working the small family farm and decided abandon polyculture and devote the entire land to the growing of vines.
Today, the family has vines in several appellations: Cornas (6.5 ha), Saint-Péray (4ha), Saint-Joseph and Côtes-du-Rhône.
Domaine Albert Morot has been synonymous with AOC Beaune since 1820. This benchmark domaine has been continuously run by founder Albert Morot’s descendants.
The Domaine Anne Gros covers 6.5 hectares in and around Vosne-Romanée where she is located. She has three grand crus – Richebourg, Echezeaux and Clos de Vougeot – but no premier crus.
On village level there is Vosne-Romanée, Les Barreaux, and Chambolle-Musigny, La Combe d'Orveau, and then there is both Bourgogne and Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits in red and white.
Started in the 1960s by Antonin Guyon with parcels of land in Gevrey and Meursault, the domaine is controlled and operated today by Antonin’s sons, Dominique and Michel.
Today in their Savigny-lès-Beaune cellars, the two brothers look after the winemaking of more than fifteen different appellations.
The Domaine Guyon offers an exceptional range, mostly in the Premiers Crus and the Grands Crus, from Gevrey-Chambertin and Chambolle-Musigny, from Aloxe-Corton up to Savigny-lès-Beaune, Beaune, Volnay and Meursault.
Domaine Arlaud Père et Fils is a reference point for natural Burgundy wines.
Established: 1949
Winemaker: Cyprien Arlaud
Vineyard size: 37 acres
This is a brand new label if not exactly a brand new domaine as it evolved from ArnaudMortet having taken over another 4 ha of vines from a vigneron that was retiring.
The parcels included a number of villages level vineyards as well as .45 ha in Mazoyères, .27 ha in Charmes-Chambertin plus a parcel in the 1er La Perrière.
This famous Domaine has undergone some significant changes over the last few years. Firstly the name has changed from Domaine Robert Arnoux to Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux.
The best known wines are the Vosne-Romanée 1er cru Les Suchots (which is a benchmark of the appellation and of grand cru quality) and the grand cru Romanée-Saint-Vivant.
Auguste Clape first came to Cornas in 1949 to marry his wife Henriette whose family owned 5 hectares of vineyards in the appellation.
Today his son, Pierre-Marie and grandson Olivier Clape run the estate, which is considered to be the benchmark producer in the region.
