  • Château Leoville Las Cases

    The estate of Léoville Las Cases stretches from the village of Saint-Julien as far as Château Latour. The greater part of its vineyard is the closest to the Gironde estuary of all the growths of Saint-Julien.

    Since 1902, the estate has been producing a second wine "le Clos du Marquis" made from those vines outside the main enclosure.

  • Château Leoville Poyferré

    Château Léoville was divided up in 1840 and the part which one belonged to the baron de Poyferré was purchased in 1920 by the Cuvelier family who own, among others, château Le Crock in Saint-Estèphe.

    The wines of Château Léoville Poyferré show deep color, rich aromas and distinction.

    Château les Carmes-Haut-Brion is situated like its neighbors, Châteaux Haut Brion and La Mission Haut-Brion, on the famous Graves plateau on the outskirts of Bordeaux to the south-west in Pessac.

    The vineyard covers 4.7 hectares and is enclosed by high walls. Well sheltered, the vines enjoy good insulation and excellent drainage.

    Château Lynch-Moussas produces full-bodied and highly aromatic wines with great savor and rich perfumes due to the cabernet and Merlot which its vineyard consists of.

  • Château Margaux

    Although it is of considerable size, the vineyard is cultivated with meticulous application and pious repect of quality. The only wines which are given the honor of bearing the Château margaux label are those which have passed the test of stringent selection. This segregation which is extremely severe leads to the production of the second wine, distruted under the label "Pavillon rouge du Château Margaux".

    A parcel of very fine gravel soil covering some 12 hectares has been planted for more than a century to the Sauvignon blanc grape, which in limited quantities, produces a dry wine, original and subtle, called the "Pavillon blanc du Château Margaux."

  • Château Marsau

    Small but mighty, this outstanding property sits in one of the lesser-known ACs, the Côtes de Francs. Producing delicious wines year after year, Château Marsau is owned by the president of Dourthe Bordeaux négociant, Jean-Marie Chadronnier. Situated to the north-east of the Francs village, Château Marsau lies at the top of a hill, benefiting from an exceptional microclimate and plenty of sunlight. Planted exclusively to Merlot, the 8-hectare vineyard is home to predominantly clay soils. The resulting wines display classic Right Bank characteristics, like elegant, soft red fruits and an undeniable equilibrium. Robert Parker describes this estate as “The Pétrus of the Côtes de Francs”.
