Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru La Boudriotte (blanc) 2017 - Jean Claude Bachelet

Tasting notes

"The 2017 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru La Boudriotte was also showing brilliantly, unfurling in the glass with notes of pear, white toast, orange oil and white flowers. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and incisive, with terrific old vine concentration, racy acids, and a long, chalky finish. This is well worth seeking out."

INFORMATIONS ABOUT THE ESTATE

Jean-Baptiste Bachelet and his brother, Benoit farm biodynamically, although the winery is not certified.

The white wines are matured in wooden barriques, of which around 10% are new. Bachelet's wines are exceptionally well balanced and display understated citrus and mineral characteristics. They possess good medium-term ageing potential.
