Tasting note:

A slightly riper nose features notes of exotic white and yellow orchard fruit, resin and a whisper of rosemary oil. The sleek and delicious flavors are rich but not quite as dense as those of the Chenevottes though they do possess an attractive texture while delivering fine length on the refreshing, citrusy and notably dry finale.

Pierre-Yves Colin, the former winemaker at his father’s Domaine Marc Colin until 2005, founded his own estate with a focus on small quantities of the finest wines he could acquire. Initially a micro-negotiant, Pierre-Yves has since grown his domaine with the help of family holdings to include 70% estate-owned plots and 30% purchased grapes.

The Domaine Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey now spans 6 hectares, producing approximately 70,000 bottles annually from the Saint-Aubin, Chassagne-Montrachet, and Santenay appellations. Known for its exceptional craftsmanship, the estate produces elegant, balanced wines that showcase the richness of Burgundy’s terroirs. These wines are perfect for pairing with refined dishes and have excellent aging potential.
