Chambolle-Musigny 1er cru 2015 - domaine Lecheneaut

Tasting notes

"Mild reduction presently masks the underlying fruit. The middle weight flavors possess a notably finer mouth feel and more evident minerality as well, all wrapped in a lingering finish that is underpinned by dense but fine-grained tannins on the balanced and seductively textured finish. This is very Chambolle in character and note that it should be approachable after only a few years of bottle age."

INFORMATIONS ABOUT THE ESTATE

Founded in 1960 by Fernand Lécheneaut, the domaine started out with two and a half hectares of vineyards divided among the communes of Nuits-Saint-Georges, Chambolle-Musigny, and Morey-Saint-Denis.

In 1985, Fernand passed away and his sons Philippe and Vincent took over. Their father had always sold wine in barrel and when the brothers took over, they were the first to bottle, making 1985 the first vintage with the Domaine Lécheneaut label.
