Cabernet Sauvignon 1999 - Corison Winery

Tasting notes

"The 1999 reminds me of the 1996, exhibiting a firm structure and dark, brooding fruit.  Thanks to the very long, cool ripening season and smaller than average crop, its concentration and complexity are striking.  Layered on top of jammy blackberry and black cherry fruit, chocolate plays with cinnamon spice notes.  Hints of cedary, forest-floor and mineral aromas complete the package.  All that is missing is the lamb!  In honor of our first harvest in the new winery, each magnum is etched with a likeness of the center cupola of the barn."
