Château Brane Cantenac 1998

Tasting notes

"(...)It has a very herbaceous bouquet: tobacco and damp earth/peat that is potent but lacking requisite fruit after 18 years. The palate is medium-bodied with dry tannin, moderate weight, but it is missing some substance towards a very austere finish. I feel that this 1998 is on a downward slope, so I suggest drinking bottles in the near future rather than affording them extended cellaring.(...)"
