"The 2018 Vosne-Romanée Les Malconsorts 1er Cru received a little more new oak than the others, but still at a prudent 30%. The fruit profile is a little darker than Les Suchots or Les Chaumes, offering raspberry, cranberry and touches of blackberry, plus it also conveys more energy. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, fine acidity, good grip and more density and weight toward the finish than those aforementioned Premier Crus. This has tons of potential."
